As of July 1st, 2020, we are officially open! Here at Orca Spirit Adventures, we are passionate about sharing unique once in a lifetime wildlife experiences with our guests. We pride ourselves on providing the highest level of customer service, with safety being our number one priority. We can assure you that we have gone above and beyond the additional measures and operational procedures put in place by WorkSafe BC, Health Canada, and Transport Canada, to ensure the safety of our guests, crew, and community.
We are excited to announce some new safety procedures put in place in our giftshops and onboard our vessels!
We have reduced capacities by 50% on our Covered Vessel Tours, allowing our guests to safely move about the vessel while adhering to social distancing protocols. We have set up multiple sanitization stations onboard and in the giftshops, reduced giftshop capacities, taken away boarding passes and added a mandatory mask policy to be worn by all. Onboard we have added a crew member to help facilitate keeping groups separate, and to maintain proper sanitization of the vessels throughout the tour. Additionally, we have added a mandatory COVID-19 Liability Waiver that must be read and signed before joining our tour. *Please note we have suspended onboard refreshments, so are recommending guests eat before checking in at our office.
Onboard our Zodiac Vessels, we have reduced capacity to 8 passengers. This allows only guests of the same party to sit on the same bench together. Masks are required onboard the zodiac for the duration of the tour, as well as, a COVID-19 Liability Waiver signed prior to joining. Zodiac suits are properly sanitized and quarantined for 48 hours before use. Additionally, captains now sanitize the entire vessel prior to departure, as well as, after arriving back to the dock. *Please note we are no longer supplying hats and gloves and are recommending guests bring their own.
All Orca Spirit Adventures’ staff and crew have signed a mandatory COVID-19 policy document prior to their first tour, have completed the necessary COVID training set by management, and perform daily health self-assessments before arriving for work.
We are so excited to return to the water and showcase our big, beautiful blue backyard to you! Most importantly, don’t forget to wash your hands (and wear a mask!).
We are running winter tours from November through March at 12 pm on a zodiac vessel. If you have any additional questions regarding tours or our new COVID-19 rules and regulations, please do not hesitate to email our customer service email [email protected] or call 250-386-2277 and speak with one of our sales agents.
