Community Partners

Since June 1st, 2015 Orca Spirit Adventures and the Pacific Salmon Foundation have worked together to take action to protect our coastal marine habitat. Orca Spirit Adventures’ guests pay a $2 conservation fee that 100% goes towards the restoration of the salmon in the Salish Sea. In 2017, we proudly collected and donated over $35,000 to the PCF.

We proudly contribute to the Center’s research of the endangered Southern Resident killer whales and support its mission is to facilitate the recovery of this beloved population of Orcas through non-invasive scientific study, public awareness & education, and conservation action.

Orca Spirit proudly supports World Fisheries Trust, a Canadian non-profit organization dedicated to the equitable and sustainable use and conservation of aquatic biodiversity. WFT engages in scientific and social research, environmental education, policy development, and appropriate field implementation of solutions.

Orca Spirit supports Cetus marine conservation society which works to reduce disturbances to marine mammals on the BC coast and promote respect for our marine environment through on-the-water and land-based education, outreach and direct monitoring activities.

The Greater Victoria Animal Crusaders is run by a team of dedicated and loyal volunteers whose goal is to put close to 100% of all funds donated towards the rescue and care of companion animals. Orca Spirit Adventures is proud to be one of their many community supporters.

The Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce works to attract new economic opportunities and facilitate business collaboration in the region. In 2017, we received their Business of the Year award, in recognition of business excellence, sustainable practices and continued growth.

Tourism Victoria is a not-for-profit destination marketing organization focused on ensuring that the region is recognized internationally as a leader in sustainable tourism. We are proud to be among its 950 business members.

Each year, Orca Spirit Adventures participates in the World Oceans Day celebration in collaboration with the Township of Esquimalt and the World Fisheries Trust. The event is designed to honour, celebrate, and protect our oceans.

We participate in local projects supporting the Global Ghost Gear Initiative to make to ocean safer and cleaner for marine animals. We provide the boat used by crews working to remove a derelict fishing net off Pender Island.

The Victoria Pride Society envisions a world free of discrimination, violence and ignorance. Through education, equality and safety initiatives, they work to empower people to lead full, authentic lives. We offer discounted charters throughout year to Society members.
