Transient Orcas, Seals & Sea Lions

October 5, 2018

Today we headed west in search of a group of orca that were said to have been spotted in the Race Rocks area. As we headed through Race we had seen a few humpback but decided to push further. Once we had gotten more towards Becher Bay we spotted a couple of orca! With there only being two we knew it was Transient orca, after completing photo identification we had realized that it was the T11 group. They hugged the shoreline for a while as they hunted but popped right ahead of us once and we were able to get a great view before heading home, stopping through race rocks to see our seals and sea lions on the way.
