Orcas, Seals and Sea Otter – June 14, 2015

June 14, 2015

1:30 pm departure

This afternoon, we traveled west of Point no Point, where we encountered members of L-pod traveling west against the flood. With the stunning scenery of west coast Vancouver Island and the Olympic coast as a background, we were thrilled to spend some time with one of the world’s most magnificent animals in this fantastic setting.

We spent some time with Mystery (L85) and had a great pass with Nuggett (L55), with several other L-pod whales scattered over a couple of miles. A stop at Race Rocks to conclude our wildlife adventure was exciting, as we saw two large male elephant seals and even a sea otter!
