Whale Watching Tour – Friday, 19 September 2014

Memorable Moment from this Tour

This afternoon we picked up a fantastic group from the cruise ship terminal at Ogden Point. They were off the Norwegian Jewel and were very hopeful of seeing some Orcas…. We headed to the south of San Juan Island where we found J and K Pods of our Southern Resident Orcas. They were busy foraging for Salmon in their natural habitat. We were very lucky and got to see a whale breach not only once, but twice! We had K-26, also known as Lobo, swim alongside our boat for awhile which allowed for some great photo opportunities as well! It’s such an incredible experience when we’re able to identify who we are with. We were also fortunate enough to see both a Dall’s Porpoise and a Harbour Porpoise!
